The company is located in Seggiano, a small town on the slopes of Monte Amiata, between the Tuscan Maremma and the Val D’Orcia, recognized for some years as a Unesco World Heritage Site. A small, exclusively family-run business owned by the Piccini family since 1890 when Adamo Piccini, grandfather of the current owner of the company, married Filomena Pieri and acquired the first 100 Olivastra Seggianese plants.
In over a century of activity, the company has specialized in the production of extra virgin olive oil which, from a simple product for family use, has been transformed in the years to come into a high quality product offered to the public and awarded in important reviews .
Today as yesterday, the production of extra virgin olive oil is followed with love and passion by the whole family, constantly improving cultivation techniques, harvesting, pressing, storage and packaging, in the continuous search for quality to offer customers a healthy, genuine product, traced in all phases of the production chain.
The company is certified “organic” and divided into different corporate bodies ranging from 450 m to 650 m asl, with the almost exclusive presence of Olivastra Seggianese plants with a small percentage of other varieties used as pollinators, such as Moraiolo and Leccino, for a olive grove area of about 4 hectares.
Extra virgin olive oil is the flagship product of the Adamo Piccini company and thanks to the professionalism of the daughter and son-in-law both agronomists and oil tasters, the same was able to express the chemical and organoleptic quality to the maximum to offer the consumer a an articulated range of products despite having almost exclusively a single variety “L’Olivastra Seggianese” available.
